How does the hotel booking work?

Our events team will book your hotel reservation at the Amsterdam Marriott on your behalf. All you have to do is indicate in your registration profile your check-in and check-out dates. Please DO NOT contact the hotel directly.

The nightly rate of €279 (plus applicable taxes) is available if you would like to extend your stay up to three days pre and/or post event. All costs for extending would be your own responsibility. If you would like to extend your hotel reservation please indicate your desired check-in and check-out dates in your registration profile. All extension requests are based upon hotel availability, and will be confirmed separately via email.

Please note: Accommodations are the responsibility of the attendees, restrictions prohibit Diageo from paying for your hotel rooms. Also, because many flights arrive in the AM from the US, you may want to consider booking a room the night before your arrival so you can check in when you arrive. The Marriott does a great job of getting early arrivals into their rooms but it cannot be guaranteed. If you have an overnight flight, be sure to enter the day your flight arrives in AMS, not the day you leave the US.

What if I have any dietary allergies and/or requirements?

If you have any dietary needs, please indicate them during the registration process in the appropriate fields. All dietary requests will be met. If you have any additional questions or would like any clarity on dietary arrangements, please email us at events@smashouse.com.

What is the dress code for the trip?

The attire for the trip is casual, meaning jeans are ok. September is a comfortable summer to autumn transition month, but the weather can be erratic.

For the distillery, please dress in business casual attire – collared shirts are required, no jeans or open toes shoes, and no strong perfume/cologne. Need some ideas? Check this out.

Please note that closed toe shoes are REQUIRED for the distillery tour.
